01Who We Are
oneway.guide (โweโ, โusโ) is an independent travel guide service operated by Mehmet Akif Arslan. This policy covers the oneway.guide website, dashboard, and mobile apps. For privacy questions, email support@oneway.guide.
02What We Collect
- Account data: email address, display name, profile photo, Firebase user ID, and sign-in provider details from Apple, Google, or email sign-in.
- Trip preferences: destination, origin, travel dates, budget, interests, travel style, dietary needs, passport country, accommodation details, and similar inputs you provide.
- Guide data: generated guide content, guide status, generation jobs, saved guide records, and data needed to render or regenerate your guide.
- Purchase data: Stripe checkout/session details for web purchases and App Store, Google Play, or Adapty entitlement information for mobile purchases when enabled. We do not store your card number.
- Notification and device data: push notification tokens, app language/time zone, App Check signals, and minimal technical logs used for delivery, security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
- Local app data: the mobile app may keep cached guides and app preferences on your device so guides can load faster or work offline.
03How We Use It
- Generate, store, render, and deliver personalized travel guides.
- Keep your account, saved guides, and entitlement state in sync.
- Process purchases, receipts, refunds, credits, and support requests.
- Send transactional notifications related to guide generation or account activity.
- Protect the service from abuse, fraud, spam, and automated misuse.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and App Store/Google Play obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, third-party behavioral tracking, or selling personal information.
04Sub-Processors
To run the service we share the minimum necessary data with providers that help us authenticate users, generate guides, process purchases, deliver notifications, and enrich travel content.
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
05Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral trackers. We use only storage needed to operate the service:
- Website session storage to remember wizard progress during a session.
- Firebase Auth/session storage to keep you signed in.
- Mobile local storage for cached guides, app preferences, and offline-friendly guide access.
06Data Retention
- Account and guides: kept while your account is active so you can access saved guides.
- Generation jobs and technical logs: kept only as long as needed for debugging, reliability, abuse prevention, and service operation.
- Orders and invoices: retained when required by accounting, tax, chargeback, or platform rules.
- Local cached guides: remain on your device until you clear them, uninstall the app, sign out where the app clears local data, or delete your account.
When you delete your account, we remove account data, profile data, saved guide records, notification token records, and local cached guide data where controlled by the app. We may retain limited records when legally required.
07Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can delete your account in the mobile app where available, or email support@oneway.guide. We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
08Children
oneway.guide is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, email us and we will delete it.
09Security
We use Firebase Authentication, HTTPS, access controls, App Check, Firestore security rules, and provider-side payment systems to protect the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep safeguards reasonable for the data and product we operate.
10Changes
If we update this policy, the โLast updatedโ date above will change. Material changes may also be announced in the app, on the website, or by email to active users.
